Case Study – 30ft Used Container with Side Access in Powys
Our client based in Newtown, Powys required a container for secure, dry storage. The space available on site was quite limited and they needed to maximise its use. The length available was just over 30ft. Gordon worked with our client to supply a unit which would best suit both their budget and their space.
Custom Build of 30ft Container
Standard ISO shipping containers are available in sizes 20ft and 40ft only, anything in-between is always cut down or custom built. For this client, we utilised a used 40ft container which was cut down to 30ft. Double flat panel doors were installed on the 30ft side and a blank wall on the 8ft open end. Installing the doors to the side of the 30ft used container meant that our client could use all of the available space on site.
Container Security Modification
A steel security lockbox was fitted to the double doors and the container was fully repainted to black with marine standard container paint.
