Shipping Container Locking Bars
Also known as locking rods, container door bars or vertical lock rods.
All ISO shipping container doors are fitted with three or four locking bars per set of double doors.
The locking bars are manufactured from steel and stretch the full height of the shipping container.
Locking rods are used to enable opening, closing, and locking of the cargo doors. Each of the locking bars meet a cam keeper which is welded at the top and bottom of the container to engage the knuckles of the locking bar. The design of the locking rods with the cam keepers and knuckles is to form an anti-racking system, which means the doors should line up and operate properly.
When containers are used regularly the locking rods may wear out or become damaged. We provide replacement locking rods for you to fit yourself or our mobile container team can attend your site to replace the locking bars for you. Our mobile services are offered nationwide.
It is important that the vertical locking rods are fully operational to ensure security and weatherproofing of the container.
